Next Stop: Restaurant Week | Best Deal in NYC

If you follow a lot of NYC accounts you know Restaurant Week is here - but what you don't know is where you should go for the best deal in NYC. Follow on as we make our next stop: Restaurant Week

You could go through the effort of finding the best deal on the some what clunky nyc.gov website or save yourself some effort and go to our top pick of restaurants: Quality Eats in the West Village. We just spent our third restaurant week dining here and time and time again we're so impressed by the level of food and service for just $45. It's the sister restaurant of the much acclaimed Quality Meats (and its just as good). We made our reservation on Resy just one week before. Their Upper East Side location also participates if that's preferred.

To get the most out of our BIG TRIP TO THE CITY (from Williamsburg lol) consider going early and checking out some cheap drinks at the The Happiest Hour located right across the street from Quality Eats and has - you guessed it - a happy hour.

Enjoy the instagrammable ambience and chat over drinks until its time for the best deal in NYC's Restaurant Week aka Quality Eats time #TGIF.

Located just 177 feet away, its food (and more drinks) time!

Enter, find your seat and enjoy the beautiful ambience of Quality Eats while you browse their special Restaurant Week menu.

Below is the Spring 2022 menu - their appetizers have changed slightly but entrees and desserts stayed consistent. Be sure to check their website for the most up to date menu. You'll pick one from each section and yes that's 3 course for JUST $45.

And because there was 2 of us, we were able to try the majority of it.

For apps, we had the Tuna Tartare and Wedge Salad. The tartare was good but let me tell you I've rarely had iceberg lettuce I liked this much. The dressing! The bacon! That salad was delicious beginning to end.

For dinner, we love steaks so we got steak times 2. I had the hanger, Ken splurged for the filet. Surprisingly while the filet was more tender, the hanger had the best flavor. I'd stick with the basics on this one. Both came with curly fries, no complaints there!

Next up was desert - we tried both and you should too.

So why is this the best deal in Restaurant Week? Lets look at their normal pricing to see.

For a point of comparison, my favorites from this year's menu.

Wedge Salad: $17

Hanger Steak: $42

Sundae: $12

Total: $71

Which is a savings of $26!

Special note that while cocktails are a spendy $17, the bottles of wine are quite reasonably priced. We opted for the Malbec at $50 and enjoyed our wine until absolutely stuffed (and happy) it was time to catch the L train home.
